"We tell everyone how much we love both of our Branscomb horses!  We love bragging about our 2 mares!"

KC and LarascoKc Branscomb founded Branscomb Farm in 1997 an effort to give back to a sport she enjoyed for 60+ years. She offers young USA-bred jumping horses with the goal of competing favorably against the very finest quality European imports.  As an amateur "A" hunter and A/O jumper competitor on both coasts and internationally for four decades,  Kc experienced the typical highs and lows of finding and importing suitable youngsters and competition horses from dealers and farms around the world. She set out to improve upon that experience with a full service USA breeding and training operation to produce exceptional young competition horses for north american riders.  That journey leaned heavily on expert professional advice from some of the world's leading horsemen, trainers, and breeders along the way. For that mentorship, Kc is eternally grateful.

One of Kc's early advisors was legendary rider/trainer Linda Allen.    lindaphotosmall

From the beginning, Linda shared her vast experience from Olympic, World Cup, and Nations Cup level showjumping competitions and practical knowledge of the business of breeding, training, and selling young horses.

Linda's inborn passion for evaluating and educating young jumpers and her deep knowledge of the sport at all levels of participation, have been invaluable in  development of the Branscomb Farm program.

Anke Magnussen, a long term personal friend and respected equine sales agent who also has served for over a decade as the primary USA delegate and supervisor of the Holsteiner Verband's operations in North America provided exceptional advice and introductions to some of the leading breeders in Holstein and supported the Farm's aquisition of many of it's foundation mares.

Daniel Zilla who acted as Farm Manager and Head Trainer though much of the formative years of the breeding and young horse development program and Ivy Creahan who succeeded Daniel in assuming that role in 2021 have been largely responsible for development of the Farm's unique capabilities and reputation for quality and integrity in raising and training young warmblood horses for the top of the sport and breeding. The Farm would not be what it is today without the dedicated effort and extraordinary contributions of these two individuals.

In 2023, Branscomb Farm was fortunate to also engage the support and advice of Rudi Leone and Jill Humphrey.  Working closely with the Branscomb Farm team, the addition of Jill Humphrey as the principal rider for our FEI level horses and Rudi as an on-site competition coach has resulted in a measurable step up in our competition success (Leading USA qualifier and podium finish at the 2024 World Cup FInal in Riyadh with Chromatic BF as well as numerous Grand Prix wins on Sonata BF) and horse and rider development programs. We are grateful for this continuing partnership in bringing the best of breeding and competition readiness to our clients and customers.

It would be impossible to close any chapter in the evolution of Branscomb Farm without acknowleding the soul of the Farm's unique breeding, raising, and training programs which for over 30 years have been the personal passion and devoted effort of two extraordinary horsemen: Porfirio (aka Pepe) Rodriguez (pictured above with Jill and Chromatic BF) and Santos de Jesus Garcia Perez (Below)

Over the years the original Branscomb Farm team has managed to stay relatively intact, with several key employees having more than 20 years of service to the Farm - a testimony to their love of the horses we breed and the depth of their professionalism and expertise. Who knows what the next chapter will bring.....
