Specializing in breeding and the careful development of pure bred Holsteiner horses, Branscomb Farms offers pasture-raised and carefully started young horses from top German bloodstock . Our breeding strategy is to import the frozen semen of the best Holsteiner Verband-approved stallions and use premium imported mares from excellent German Stamm lines. Within those bloodlines, we select for breeding, only individuals that produce the lighter, higher-blood, more elegant type that is most suited for the North American sport-horse markets. You see that in the type we produce and show. Branscomb Farms is also proud to partner with the UC Davis, Veterinary Medical Teaching faculty from the Department of Equine Reproduction to offer the services of a board certified Theriogenologist (DVM with speciality in equine reproduction) on-site. The Farm offers a complete line of repro services for mare and stallion owners as well as Embryo Transfer services for those who want to “design” their own.
